Shibata Kako Sekkei was established in 1965 as a plant design business. We began our business designing oil and petrochemical plants, and since 1968, we have been involved with PWR nuclear power plant design and have supported plants throughout our company history. At Shibata Kako Sekkei, we have cultivated over 50 long years of technological capabilities related to nuclear power plant design, and these capabilities have earned us a reputation of excellence even among the numerous partners that our customers use, placing us as the design company of choice for our customers.

• 1965 Started operations with a focus on piping arrangement design for oil, petrochemical, and chemical plants

• 1974 Established Tokyo Detached Office
• 1979 Promoted Tokyo Detached Office to Tokyo Branch Office
  Established Kobe Design Office
  Started operations for “Monju” fast-breeder reactor design
• 1981 Started operations for BWR nuclear power plant design
• 1982 Changed name of Tokyo Branch Office to Tokyo Nuclear Energy Design Center
• 1985 Started operations for the basic design of a demonstration fast-breeder reactor
• 1989 Started operations for highengineering test reactor (HTTR) design
  Started operations for the design of the Rokkasho Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing Facility in Aomori Prefecture
• 1993 Submitted Notification of Specified Worker Dispatching Undertaking
• 1994 Moved Nuclear Energy Design Center to Yokohama City
• 1996 Established Kobe Detached Office　
• 2006 Started design for plants abroad
  Started operations for PWR nuclear power plant design seismic back-checks
• 2010 Hosted commemorative event for the 45th anniversary of our founding
• 2012 Started operations related to PWR nuclear power plant design plant re-operation
  Obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification
• 2015 Hosted commemorative event for the 50th anniversary of our founding
  Established Kobe Office
  Started operations related to BWR nuclear power plant design plant re-operation
